Becoming Church with and to one another

Our organization structure is functional, not hierarchical.  We are “partners” in this Emmaus Walk and will function in a manner that calls us each to serve one another through a Servant Leadership model acting as Church: individually and communally.  All committees will work together respectfully, collaboratively and collegially, will report on progress and decisions made within the purview of each committee, and will make recommendations in the form of proposals to the Planning Committee for communication dissemination, strategic proposal adoption and execution.  We will whittle our telecom members to 1-2 per committee and will develop a structure for committee reports per meeting assuming that progress is happening offsite to facilitate forward movement.  Each committee shall have its own listserv and other IT supports as may be required to get various jobs done–to reduce the communication traffic.  Every committee must be conscious of budget restraints and revenue opportunities—every member of every committee is “ex officio” a member of the Development Committee.
